A monthly Balkan dance event bringing lively Eastern European folk dance to newcomers and enthusiasts. Each event is led by a different MC.
The Young’uns have proved themselves a unique proposition – writing and performing a cappella or subtly accompanied songs that tell it how it is alongside traditional songs from their native North-East and further afield – songs of conscience, songs of warmth and wit, songs to provoke, songs to inspire.
Come and play folk dance tunes from the British Isles and associated traditions.
This mixed level class is based on the popular and lively Cotswold morris tradition, in which dancers perform with handkerchiefs and sticks.
